the Benefits of 1-on-1 yoga:
All students have their unique goals & desires for their practice. We take a collaborative approach to achieve these goals in the most effective way possible. Ensuring safety, education & comfort! Some examples of past/current clients’ intentions for 1:1 sessions:
- Mobility work to supplement Jiu Jitsu training (grappling) - think hips, shoulders & balance!
- Develop an understanding of foundations & sequencing to create an at-home practice

how it works
STEP one: INQUIRY
Book a 1:1 session or send an email inquiry. Before the session we will discuss your goals/desires to see if 1:1 sessions are a good fit for you.
step two: intake
If Shayna feels 1:1 sessions are a good fit, you will be sent an intake form to outline your health needs as well as your expectations for sessions. Shayna will review this to ensure all sessions are in alignment with client desires.
STEP THREE: initial session
The first session will give Shayna an idea of your current mobility & strength aiding in the planning of all future sessions. Expect this to be a slower pace with plenty of adjustments.
step four: continued sessions
Sessions will continue at a frequency desired by the client. All sessions will be carefully planned based upon current client mobility/strength, as well as the desired outcome. Adjustments will continue throughout each session and the pace of class will be based upon client desires/level.
FAQ
how long is each session?
All sessions are 1 hour long.
What if i don’t want hands-on assists?
No problem! Shayna will always ask at the beginning of a session if you would like hands-on assists. Sometimes your just not feeling it and that’s ok!
where do in-person sessions take place?
Typically Shayna travels to the clients home. If your space doesn’t allow for it, sessions will be held at Shayna’s home. In the warmer months some clients opt for an outdoor public space. The choice is yours!
How do online sessions work?
You will be sent a Google Meets link before each session. Ensure your camera is set up so Shayna can observe each pose to allow for vocal adjustments.
Do i need my own props?
For in-person sessions, Shayna can provide all props needed - blocks, straps, and even a mat! You can use your own if you choose.
CAn i do 1:1 sessions while pregnant?
Yoga is safe for pregnancy, however Shayna doesn’t take on pregnant clients at this time. She wants to ensure she has proper training before taking this next step. This will be provided in the future!
